Myphoner simplifies your sign-up and login process by supporting Single Sign-On (SSO) via your Google or Microsoft account. This integration enhances security and streamlines access for you and your team. Switching to SSO is straightforward, even if you initially signed up with a basic email and password.

Adding SSO to Your Account:

If you started with the standard user and password method, you could easily transition to SSO by following these steps:

  1. Navigate to My Preferences.

  2. Select Credentials.

  3. In the "Single Sign On (SSO)" section, click Sign in with Google or Microsoft.

  4. You will be redirected to the Google or Microsoft login page. Provide your login details, then follow the instructions to authorize Myphoner.

Connecting your Myphoner account to SSO

Upon completion, you’ll be redirected back to Myphoner, with a notification indicating "Signing in with Google/Microsoft (your email address)".

Important Notes:

  • If an email is already associated with your account for sending emails, it will need to be disconnected prior to linking it for SSO. This step ensures that Myphoner obtains the correct access scopes to your Google or Microsoft account.

  • When your Google or Microsoft account is linked, its associated email will be automatically configured in Myphoner for sending emails. You have the option to disconnect this feature while retaining SSO functionality.

  • A notification email from Myphoner will be sent to you, confirming the change in your login method.

Disconnecting/Removing SSO from Your Account:

To disconnect your Google or Microsoft login from Myphoner, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to My Preferences.

  2. Select Credentials.

  3. In the "Single Sign On (SSO)" section, click "Disconnect SSO and use Email to log in".

  4. You will be asked to select a new password and repeat it. Once you've done so, you are disconnected from SSO and must log in to Myphoner using your Email address (same as the one you disconnected) and the password you just selected.
