Smart CIDs are groups of phone numbers (Caller IDs) that alternate when calling to optimise contact rates and spot bad ones.

Use them to:

  • let Myphoner choose the Caller ID closest to your destination when calling different countries.

  • alternate between Caller IDs for reputation purposes.

Create Smart CIDs from Manage -> Voice -> Numbers/CIDs.

Smart CIDs are only available on Premium subscriptions and when using Myphoner Voice.

The details

In a very basic setup, where you call the same destination country all the time, smart CIDs can be used to alternate between Caller IDs to help you mitigate the risk of getting flagged as a spam number. Once a Smart CID is configured with two or more CIDs and assigned to an agent or a list, it will start alternating between the CIDs when conducting calls. The alternation is random and with enough calls, it should distribute equally across the CIDs. If one CID becomes bad (calls do not connect anymore) you can just replace it in the Smart CID and it will reflect in all associated agents and lists immediately.

In a more advanced setup, where you are calling multiple different destination countries, you can add CIDs for different countries in the Smart CID, and it will choose the best CID for the destination number for every call as follows:

  • Select CIDs from the same country as the destination call and pick one of those randomly for the call

  • If the above did not produce a match, and the destination is within the EEA, then select CIDs from other EEA countries and pick one of those randomly for the call

  • If the above did not produce a match, select CIDs from the default country configured for the Smart CID and pick one of those randomly for the call

Again, if one CID becomes bad (calls do not connect anymore) you can just replace it in the Smart CID and it will reflect in all associated agents and lists immediately.
