Merging is a way of resolving duplicate leads. In addition to merging individual leads, Myphoner also enables you to merge entire leads lists, facilitating seamless data consolidation across campaigns.
When merging, we call the two leads the "Keeping" and "Merging" leads. The "Keeping lead will remain with all its data intact. The "Merging" lead will have its activity log copied to the keeping lead, and any additional data will be copied as well, as long as the keeping lead does not have data in the corresponding field, and the keeping leads list has a field that corresponds to the merging leads list. To prevent data loss during the merge process, it is advised to review Myphoner’s documentation and settings to ensure that important information is preserved.
After the merge, only the "Keeping" lead will remain, so if the "Merging" lead was on another list, it will be gone from that list.
Merging Leads Lists in Myphoner
In addition to merging individual leads, Myphoner allows you to merge entire leads lists or campaigns, which is useful for consolidating data from multiple campaigns into a single, cohesive list.
Requirements for Merging Lists
To successfully merge campaigns, ensure that all columns in the campaigns you want to merge are identical. When columns match exactly, the data can be aligned and combined without errors or mismatches. Take the time to standardize column names and structures before initiating the merge process.
Handling Duplicates When Merging Lists
When merging lists, you may encounter duplicate leads from different campaigns. It is recommended to merge these duplicates so that each company or contact has only one unique lead in the consolidated list. This approach ensures that all related data is consolidated properly.
