Understanding Myphoner’s Calling Rates and Estimating Costs
Myphoner offers clear and flexible pricing for inbound and outbound calls, allowing you to estimate your costs based on your usage. Here’s how the pricing works:
Pricing for Specific Regions
Routed Numbers: For routed numbers in most countries, the cost is €5 per number per month. However, the first ordered number is free.
To check rates for your region or more details on these rates, navigate to the Manage -> Voice -> Rates section in the Myphoner application. Here, you can see pricing for specific destinations globally.
How Call Charges Are Calculated
Myphoner charges are based on connected calls only, ensuring that you only pay for actual call connections. Charges are calculated as follows:
Rate per Minute: The base rate for calls in your region is found under Manage -> Voice -> Rates - for US, it's 2 cents per minute.
Billing Increments: Calls are billed in 60-second increments. This means, for example, that a call lasting 1 minute and 45 seconds will be rounded up to 2 minutes.
Unconnected calls do not incur any charges. Connecting to a voicemail counts as a connected call.
Estimating Costs Based on Usage
To estimate your weekly or monthly calling costs:
Determine Total Call Time: Calculate or estimate the time you usually spend on calls per week.
Focus on Connected Calls: Only consider the time spent on connected calls.
Perform the Calculation: Multiply your connected call duration by the applicable per-minute rate.
Example:
If you spend approximately 30 hours per week on calls and one-third of that time (10 hours) involves connected calls, your cost calculation would be: [ 10 hours × 60 minutes × €0.02/min = €12. This example offers a rough approximation, as costs may vary depending on your calling pattern. For more accurate estimates, you can test the service for a day or two and then review data from your current usage habits under Review -> Voice.
